Backed by science, developed by registered Nutritionists and with practical recipes from our chef, The Gut Project is here to share this new approach to health, driven from our core, the Gut; where our biology and bacteria meet. Join us to explore these foundations and help your health be the best it can be!

NEW!  The Course

Our inspiring 6-session course is here to equip you with confidence around gut-healthy eating & built around four core evidence-based concepts, Food, Rest, Nature and Movement.

We’re very human & want to tailor support for you so weekly sessions are live (online) with additional recorded content to fit around you – practical recipe builders using seasonal ingredients (with demos to follow), kitchen cupboard essentials guide, fermented foods, plant milks and the 101 on why sustainable fish, dairy and pasture-fed beef can form a valuable part of a gut-healthy plant-based diet. There are podcasts too, so you can learn while you walk, rest or cook!

Uniquely, The Gut Project also introduces you to fabulous (nature-positive) British food producers who can deliver to your door – Sustainable health, reconnected with nature!

“Your microbes are unique to you. They’re affected by our food & lifestyle and promote a long, healthy life. This is Gut Health!”

Core Concepts of The Gut Project

Food & ferment

Our microbes thrive on a variety of fibre-rich, nutrient-dense food. Seasonal & colourful means nutrient-packed & naturally prebiotic! Fermented, probiotic, foods provide valuable microbes & postbiotics, while research now shows unprocessed fish, dairy and meat all have their place in Gut-Healthy, plant-based eating too.

rest & SLEEP

Stress and reduced sleep have a profound impact on our microbiome (our community of gut bacteria) and therefore our health and wellbeing. Inflammatory, hormonal and depressive disorders are all linked with our microbes and their role on our Gut-Brain axis. It’s a complex but vitally important concept for our best health, mood and emotions.

Our microbes reconnect our health with nature via our gut – this is where our biology and bacteria meet! Healthy soils as well as time spent up close with the land all positively impact our gut health; no nonsense – it’s evidence-based! Understanding how our food from ‘nature-positive’ farming benefits our health, is key.

on the move

Science is showing that our microbes like to be kept on the move! Regular movement such as walking at pace, increases our gut microbe diversity; a key aim in nurturing our microbiome. 30 minutes of increased heart rate daily, dance if you like, is all it takes. Food, rest, nature… and keeping on the move, simple steps to sustainable health.
