SEASONAL VEG 101

Sharing the low down on the benefits of our seasonal British Veg!

We’re now into British Food Fortnight, celebrating all that’s so good about our British food and its provenance! Love British Food are the worker-bees behind this annual initiative. ‘A small, independently funded organisation run by people with a passion for food and the beautiful British countryside that produces it’, Love British Food are the only organisation working with public sector catering to encourage the sourcing of local, British food, especially in our schools and hospitals. Hurray I hear you say! Indeed. That’s why, last weekend, I was so pleased as their Nutritionist to be involved in kick starting the fortnight by sharing the low down on what it actually is about our seasonal British veg that’s so good for us, at the start of LEAF online Farm Sunday.

Getting milk delivered to your doorstep is another great way to support British farmers and tastes better too!   You can read more about milk and other Dairy produce benefits here

Consider milk cooperatives like Arla, farmer-owned and where possible growing their own cattle feed too. However you choose to source it, support Britain’s Dairy Industry and support your future health too!

I’m passionate in guiding my clients towards practical, balanced and sustainable food choices within busy lives, to inspire best health.

Previously a Vet, as a Registered Nutritionist (MSc) I provide nutrition advice to British food producers to improve health communications. I also love to share nutrition knowledge as tailored support for individuals and families,  through my unique events, as a visiting University lecturer and in schools too…

Please do get in touch – now more than ever I’m here to help!
